What are the lead times?

Lead times may vary depending on the selected door type and current order volume.

Lacquer Doors: Typically ready for delivery within 15–25 business days.

Membrane Doors: Typically ready for delivery within 7–10 business days.

Please note that these are average production lead times. Lead times may vary for custom projects or high-volume orders.

Can I request a sample?

By visiting one of our showrooms, you can obtain a 397 × 297 mm sample of your preferred Lacquer Door or Membrane Door model and color. This allows you to examine the product up close and make your color and texture selections with confidence.

Question 6

Can you apply a new membrane finish or repaint my existing cabinet doors?

Accepted Answer

No.

We do not offer membrane reapplication or repainting services for existing cabinet doors.

For previously membrane-coated doors, removing the PVC layer can damage the surface and leave adhesive residue, preventing a reliable new membrane application.

Similarly, repainting previously painted doors does not provide the long-lasting, high-quality finish we aim to deliver. To ensure the best durability and appearance, all membrane and lacquer finishes are applied exclusively to newly manufactured doors.

What is the main difference between Lacquer Doors and Membrane Doors?

Lacquer Doors are manufactured by applying a double coat of primer and paint to an HDF surface. They are known for their smooth finish, elegant appearance, and premium feel, making them an excellent choice for modern interiors. They are highly durable, but because the production process is more complex and time-consuming, they are generally more expensive than membrane doors. Lacquer Doors are commonly preferred for luxury residences, bespoke interiors, and high-end architectural projects where a premium aesthetic is a priority.

Membrane Doors are produced by bonding a PVC foil to an HDF surface using vacuum press technology. Their faster manufacturing process makes them a more cost-effective option. They are available in a wide range of finishes, particularly woodgrain designs, allowing them to complement various interior styles. Thanks to their extensive design options, competitive pricing, and shorter lead times, Membrane Doors are widely used in residential developments, large-scale housing projects, commercial spaces, and budget-conscious applications.

Do the doors turn yellow over time?

Our Lacquer Door products are designed to resist yellowing under normal conditions of use.

Our Membrane Door products are manufactured using high-quality PVC foil. Like all PVC materials, they may experience slight color changes over many years when exposed to intense UV radiation, high temperatures, or similar environmental factors. This is a natural characteristic of the material rather than a manufacturing defect.

Under normal conditions, both collections retain their original appearance for many years. In addition, Silante Kapak provides a 5-year non-yellowing warranty for our products.

What are the size limitations?

For both our Lacquer Door and Membrane Door collections, the maximum production size is 2800 × 2100 mm.

Minimum dimensions can be determined according to your specific requirements. However, to preserve the proportions and visual appeal of designs featuring three or more panels, we recommend a minimum height of 1400 mm. Below this height, the model's proportions may change, which can affect its overall appearance.

Is there a difference in durability and repairability between Lacquer Doors and Membrane Doors?

Yes.

Lacquer Doors are valued for their elegant, premium appearance. Minor scratches or surface damage can be repaired and the door can be refinished when necessary. However, compared to Membrane Doors, they require a little more care during everyday use.

Membrane Doors, with their durable PVC surface, offer greater resistance to impacts and daily wear. However, if the surface is damaged, it cannot be repaired locally in the same way as a Lacquer Door. In cases of significant damage, replacing the door is generally the recommended solution.

How should Lacquer Doors and Membrane Doors be cleaned and maintained?

The frequency of cleaning depends on the environment and how the doors are used.

For routine cleaning, simply wipe the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh or chemical-based cleaning products. Afterward, dry the surface with a clean, soft cloth.

Lacquer can be applied to both custom designs and our existing door models through our premium painting process.

Membrane finishes are applied with exceptional precision using our state-of-the-art vacuum press technology, making them suitable for virtually every door design.

This gives you complete design flexibility, allowing you to choose the finish that best suits your style and project requirements.
