Instead of a knife dropping straight down in a single flat angle, these transitions—crafted with a tiered geometry—create an exceptional sense of depth and a beautiful interplay of light and shadow toward the center panel. From a manufacturing perspective, these stepped lines allow surface finishes and coatings to spread flawlessly across the panel during edge sanding and finishing stages. In vacuum press and foil wrapping applications, they act as protective steps that prevent the wrapping material from over-stretching at the corners, enabling the foil to seat tightly, smoothly, and perfectly onto the recessed base without air gaps. Crowning clean geometry with this stepped transition, this series is crafted for projects that want to bring Shaker simplicity together with more voluminous and finely crafted details
